Commercial teak in Chennai.
First, medium and second quality, graded honestly and priced accordingly. We will tell you which grade your job needs, including when it is the cheaper one.
Commercial teak is teak sorted by quality rather than by origin. First quality has the cleanest face, the straightest grain and the fewest knots. Medium and second quality carry more character and more defect, and they cost less.
Most jobs do not need first quality throughout. A frame that will be covered, a partition, a run of shuttering, the back of a wardrobe, all of these can take a lower grade without anyone ever knowing. Paying top rate for timber nobody will see is money thrown away.
The grading is where a timber merchant is either honest or is not. We tell you what a lot actually is. That is the whole business, and it is why customers stay with us for thirty years and then send their sons.

What buyers ask about Commercial teak.
What is the difference between first and second quality teak?
The face. First quality gives you the cleanest, straightest, most knot free surface. Medium and second quality carry more knots, more colour variation and more character, and they are priced lower for exactly that reason. Structurally they are all still teak.
Can I mix grades on one job?
Yes, and it is usually the smart thing to do. Put the good grade where it shows and the cheaper grade where it does not. We will help you work out the split.
How do I know I am getting the grade I paid for?
Come and look at the lot before it is cut. We would rather you saw the timber than took our word for it, though after thirty years most of our customers do the latter.
Ask for today's rate.
Rates move with the market, so we quote on the day. Tell us the sizes you need and the quantity, and we will give you a straight number. Work out your volume first on the free timber calculator.
